Iron man 2 review
"oh it's good to be back" and Its good to have him back. Robert Downey Jr returns as Tony Stark a billionaire who announced that he was the iron man at the end of the first movie. He is now releasing that his playboy lifestyle is catching up to him as the device that is keeping him alive is also slowly killing him. Mickey Rouke plays the revenge seeking Ivan Vanko or whiplash( but he is never referred to as whiplash). Some other new characters or in the story as well. The second villain is Justin Hammer played by Sam Rockwell. Scarlett Johansson plays Natalie Rushman(black widow) and Don Cheadle takes the place of Terrence Howard as Rhodey ( war machine). Gwyneth Paltrow returns as Pepper Potts and Samuel L Jackson comes back as Nick Furry who is trying to get iron man to join the avengers as well to get Tony Stark to control his personal life.
I'm not going to say that it's as good as the first because it wasn't but it was a fun enjoyable movie were Downey stole the show with a very strong performance. There were many good things about the movie and the humor was just right. The action was incredible and stunning special effects and the movie revolved around Tony stark which it rightfully should. With that being said not every movie is perfect, the things that a didn't like about was the party scene, which was not well done and a little cheesy at times. The final battle scene with Ivan should have been longer it was like they defeated Ivan only a few seconds after he jumped down. There was also to many subplots going on in this movie and became a little boring at times because they were having to explain the all the subplots in 2 hour time frame.
All in all this movie was pretty good not great but good. It was a very enjoyable movie were you get to see some of the consequences for being a superhero who doesn't have secret identity. He isn't your average superhero but he gets the job done and I guess that's all that matters. I give this movie 8.5 out of 10 they could have done better but I hope for a iron man 3.

The movie had a worse than cliché story that was bearable because of the explosions and the girls. Nothing like a model action hero movie such as the Batman series. Downey Jr.'s performance was no more spectacular than Tim Allen in Santa Claus. He has had much better performances in almost every movie he has put out since his rehabilitation. Another advertisement filled Hollywood rollout designed solely to make the big bucks.
